In 2011 group sales rose by 9.9% to € 880.8 million, and compared with the previous year the sales volume grew by 1.4% to 244,670 tons. In 2011 the NORDENIA group's earnings remained at a high level. At € 101.1 million the adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) was 4.4% below the result for the previous year. Continued

By 31/03/2012, the worldwide operating NORDENIA Group will have sold the business area FIBC (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers) and Liners within the framework of a management buyout. The business of NORDENIA DEUTSCHLAND Emsdetten will be merged into EMPAC GmbH. NORDENIA POLSKA Starogard GD. Sp. z o.o. is now named STARPAC Sp. z o.o. The new managing partners of EMPAC GmbH are Richard Sievers and Michael Hans. Both have been working in Emsdetten for over 25 years. Richard Sievers was Managing Director of NORDENIA DEUTSCHLAND Emsdetten GmbH for 15 years. Jacek Borzeszkowski, who was Managing Director of NORDENIA POLSKA Starogard GD. Sp. z o.o. for over 15 years, will continue to be Managing Director of the Starogard site. All parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price and other details about the transaction. Greven, Pereslavl, Mar 9, 2012. Oleg Obertinyuk is the new General Director of ZAO NORDENIA SLAVNIKA. On March 1st he succeeded Vasily Mizintsev in this position at the Russian subsidiary of the international film and packaging manufacturer NORDENIA INTERNATIONAL AG. With about 200 employees NORDENIA SLAVNIKA is one of the leading Russian manufacturers of packaging films. At its site in Pereslavl, near Moscow, the company produces multi-layer printed packaging material with which the company supplies the food and pet food industry as well as producers of detergent and cleansing agents and the hygiene industry. The worldwide operating manufacturer of flexible packaging, technical films and product components NORDENIA INTERNATIONAL AG is investing approximately €3 million in its German site in Osterburken (Baden-Württemberg). An additional factory building for extrusion is currently being constructed, which will be the site of a new three-layer coextruding facility from mid July 2011 onwards.
